Why Work With Us?
We are highly ambitious when it comes to tech and product development and our code should always be testable with focus on code quality. We always strive to be at the forefront of technology and encourage innovation highly.
We like to work together so we sometimes work with pair programming to solve tough tasks, but you will also work independently. For the right person, you will have the opportunity to grow as a person but also as an engineer. At MatHem we work a lot with code reviews and feedback sessions to evolve everyone within the company
We have a lot of new things going on and high ambitions and we need to grow in our Tech team to make it possible. Now we are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join the team responsible for MatHem’s checkout experience.
As a backend Engineer in MatHems MAC (Member, Address, Checkout) - team, you will be responsible for building the backbone for our online user experience of grocery shopping. The checkout is a very central part of our core service, including all Mathem’s payment- flows and solutions, as well as Member and Addresses. These are large domains with a lot of possibilities for improvements and experimentation - impacting everything from that a customer lands on our site, registers, selects groceries, checks out and orders delivery. You will be a key player in building the experiences MatHem needs to win the grocery game.
At MatHem we are working on a modern serverless microservice platform. In your daily work, you will develop new functions in .net core or node.js on the AWS platform. You will be writing and maintaining multiple microservices that could be made up of many different AWS services, lambda for example. Code could be written in the prefered language that best suits the task. One of the services you will be working with is DynamoDB, DynamoDb is a document database we sometimes use to trigger events that other services can consume. All our services will automatically be deployed to our test and production environments using AWS CodePipeline.
We are looking for someone with an agile mindset, who likes to work together and wants to bring new code and ideas to MatHem. Your opinions and ideas matter to us. In addition to that, we are experimenting with bleeding-edge technology, like using open source, and test everything ourselves - you build it, you own it!
What we are looking for:
- A skilled Backend Engineer with 4+ years of experience using C#
- Someone with technical interest and experience in .net core, Java, Node.js, Python, Golang or similar modern programming languages
- It’s advantageous if you have an understanding of serverless technology, event-driven patterns, Authorization/Authentication, and experience in one or more cloud providers (preferably AWS).
- Experience working with A/B testing
- And most importantly, you enjoy developing cool products that make it possible for us to work faster and smarter and of course, make the user experience the best possible!
- You also have a Swedish work permit and are currently living in Stockholm/Sweden
At MatHem you will also be part of a creative and helpful environment with a lot of heart. When you want a break, there is probably a colleague up for a game of table tennis or a coffee, or you could just fill your inspiration by watching the beautiful view of Skeppsholmen. The managers will believe in you and have a great openness to your thoughts and way of working.
So… do you wanna go bananas with us?
