We are seeking an exceptional Systems and Workflow Engineer to lead and optimize our high-throughput visualization pipeline. This role is instrumental in transforming raw data into digital materials, overseeing centralized asset management, and integrating AI/ML-driven automation to enhance our digital material creation and visualization processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing workflows, establishing scalable systems, and driving innovation in visualization technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize a high-throughput visualization pipeline, encompassing raw data intake, digital material creation, and rendering for diverse 3D environments.
Centralized Asset Management: Develop and manage a centralized asset repository, ensuring all assets are enriched with metadata, embeddings, and augmented data for extended functionality across multiple applications.
Tool Development: Design and implement custom tools to address unique visualization challenges and improve efficiency across processes.
Workflow Architecture: Develop scalable, robust architectures that allow for automated error detection, detailed reporting, and enhanced pipeline visibility.
AI/ML Integration: Lead research and development initiatives to integrate AI/ML technologies for automation and enhancement of visualization workflows.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams including product management, marketing, and engineering to align technical outputs with strategic goals.
Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce technical standards and best practices for material scanning, texture authoring, and rendering workflows.
Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all workflows and train relevant teams to ensure consistent application of best practices.
Critical Skills:
Workflow Engineering and Systems Optimization:
- Expertise in building and optimizing high-throughput pipelines for digital asset creation and visualization.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and workflow automation.
Digital Asset Management Expertise:
- Proficiency in creating and managing centralized repositories with advanced metadata tagging and embedding strategies.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management and interoperability across platforms.
AI/ML and Automation:
- Proven experience in integrating machine learning models and automation tools to streamline workflows.
- Understanding of AI-driven solutions for material scanning, rendering, and data augmentation.
Visualization and Rendering Mastery:
- Proficiency in PBR material creation and rendering using tools such as Unreal Engine, V-Ray, or Arnold.
- Strong knowledge of lighting, composition, and shader development for photorealistic visualizations.
Leadership and Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, or related fields; Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, digital material visualization, or related roles.
- Strong portfolio showcasing optimized workflows, centralized asset management systems, and AI/ML integration in visualization pipelines.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or digital twin technologies is a plus.
