Material Bank is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator that is results focused, a savvy digital marketer to manage the day to day implementation of email and paid marketing campaigns. This role will brief, implement, and manage performance marketing, working cross-functionally with other departments, continuously optimizing for performance.

The ideal candidate would have experience across a range of digital marketing channels including SEM, paid social, email marketing and website optimization. They will create, implement and optimize for performance in email, paid search, paid social and assist with affiliate marketing initiatives. Own rigorous testing methodology and ideation for new channels, new placements, and other factors to drive growth. You will work collaboratively with design, analytics and the broader ecommerce team constantly optimizing to lower new customer acquisition costs.

Understand the customer journey across channels and optimize based on incrementality and attribution. Own company growth metrics & reporting for paid channels as well as communication of progress to company and key stakeholders. Be an advocate for growth improvements across the entire company, finding and bringing visibility to opportunities anywhere in the funnel.

What you’ll do:

  • Digital Marketing 
    • Deploy outbound campaigns across email (Klaviyo), SEM (Google Ads), paid social (Facebook Business Manager, Pinterest, etc.), display retargeting and content marketing networks
    • Compose creative briefs for the development of marketing materials for email and paid social ads
    • Oversee the Marketing Automation technologies and processes
    • Manage the development and coordination of various creative components for marketing channels, such as images, copy, offer codes, tracked links, etc.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, using data from Google analytics and ad platforms, often presented in spreadsheets and decks, pulling in campaign data from advertising, analytics and customer data platforms to analyze, interpret and present actionable insights for campaign improvements
    • Work effectively across teams to build strong partnerships with key roles across the company to ensure that digital marketing priorities are understood and supported, and that Marketing is advancing each department’s goals
  • Additional Critical Functions
    • Leverage internal data, partner insights, market trends, and the competitive landscape to make data-driven recommendations and experiments for continuous improvements across all performance marketing channels
    • Work with outside vendors and content teams to expand a scalable organic social media strategy that drives consistent traffic

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • 2+ years of digital marketing management experience
  • Must be competent with presentation decks (PowerPoint, Google Slides), website analytics (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel and Google Docs)
  • Must possess a sound understanding of digital and social media advertising
  • Must also possess a sound understanding of digital marketing technology aspects and conventions (e.g. ad serving, creative tracking, etc.)
  • Clear track record of implementing high-profile initiatives to meet performance marketing KPIs
  • Deep experience and understanding of the principles and disciplines of performance marketing, including SEM, paid social, display, CRM/Email, marketing automation
  • In-depth knowledge of setting up email campaigns, creating digital marketing campaigns in-engine and optimization best-practices
  • Proven analytical skills in leveraging customer data and insights to drive campaign decisions
  • Ability to respond nimbly in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication skills, able to engage and present to stakeholders and influence all levels and across all functions, internally and externally
  • Exceptional at working cross-functionally with the creative, digital, and brand marketing teams
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize, work cooperatively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an exceedingly fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skill
  • Experience optimizing campaigns via A/B and multivariate testing of creative, landing pages, media buying and audience targeting
  • Experience with specific tools:
    • Digital Analytics tools (Google Analytics)
    • CDP software like Segment (or another events-based analytics tool)
    • Email marketing like Klaviyo, MailChimp, HubSpot
