About the role

The Manager, Marketing & Communications, is responsible for the management of MyStartr’s website, email program, and internal/external communications. The incumbent will improve the MyStartr digital experience by working cross-functionally with our Digital Experiences team by building a new CRM that enhances the member experience.

This is a fixed term contract position ending March 31, 2023.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage marketing and communications channels, assets, and toolkits – including website/blog, event support, internal communications, and email marketing (promotional, invites, surveys and automated)
  • Support the launch of a new CRM and email marketing program, working closely with a product manager and senior marketing manager
  • Own the marketing and communications activities calendar, and ensure effective partnership with internal and external teams
  • Manage the creation of communications for emails, blogs and press releases (and publish with images to CMS), as well as for internal audiences
  • Ensure MyStartr’s digital touch points reflect our new brand, and work with UX team and product owners to optimize user experiences

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate university degree
  • Degree in Commerce, Marketing, or Media/Communications an asset
  • 5+ years working in digital marketing or communications 
  • Experience managing websites, email programs an asset 
  • Proficiency with CMS and CRM tools 
  • Highly proficient in written communication, project management and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of marketing to marginalized youth, or with a charity or not-for-profit organization, or for/with a corporation with strong social impact activity, an asset.
