Title: Social Media Manager Contractor

Location: New York

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, shoot, edit compelling, cohesive and visually appealing social content for owned handles that connects with, adds value for, and builds an authentic and engaged community of consumers and fans.
  • Create sponsorship material for Martha and partners across TikTok, IG and Threads. 
  • Create baseline compelling social material to support these channels. 
  • Grow subscribers.
  • Produce, shoot, edit, and oversee social posting for our existing Garden partnership.
  • Produce, shoot, edit, and oversee social posting for our SLT On The Table Series
  • Collaborate on the ideation and execution of campaigns and content, ensuring that copy and visual elements align with overall objectives, reflect the brand's voice, and drives user engagement.
  • Define, manage, and oversee publishing of social content, including sponsor publishers.
  • Help set benchmarks and KPIs; optimize and improve social health tied to metrics (follower growth, engagement, and content performance). 
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and topics relevant to our industry and target audiences. Leverage these trends to create timely and relevant content that capitalizes on popular conversations and increases brand visibility.
  • Assist with paid social and/or digital marketing efforts including boosting, dark posts, and whitelisting partner content.
  • Develop influencer program that builds brand awareness and promotion of product specific efforts to supplement social strategy and develop processes and relationships to scale program.

 

Requirements:

  • A fast learner with editorial or social media experience with experience across a variety of audiences and platforms, community & brand building, and product marketing (wellness/food and beverage experience is not necessary, but a plus). 
  • Familiar with creating high-performing assets for social media.
  • Must be an accomplished digital shooter and social media editor
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and positive attitude
  • Creative individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to manage and successfully balance multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous, complex and dynamic environment.
  • A deep understanding of internet culture, new channels like TikTok, and new tactics like Threads. 
  • Experience leading and building a social strategy with a clear point of view on channels, content and creative best practices and managing cross-functional collaboration internal and externally with partners. 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their unique features, and best practices for engaging business and consumer audiences.
  • Familiarity with community engagement strategies and tactics

 

Must be able to work 40 hours a week. Hourly rate $40-$50.
