Position Overview:
The Partner Manager will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our partner ecosystem across the APAC region. This role is critical in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring mutual success for MariaDB and its partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in partner management or development within the SaaS, database, or open-source technology sectors, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the APAC market dynamics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic partner management plan to grow and strengthen the MariaDB partner network across the APAC region.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring alignment on goals, strategies, and mutual benefits.

  • Identify and recruit new partners, including value-added resellers (VARs), system integrators (SIs), and managed service providers (MSPs).

  • Collaborate with partners to create and execute joint go-to-market strategies, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement programs.

  • Act as the main point of contact for partners, providing guidance, training, and support to drive partner success and revenue growth.

  • Monitor partner performance and provide regular feedback, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

  • Negotiate and manage partner agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

  • Represent MariaDB at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to strengthen brand presence and build relationships.

  • Work closely with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and product to ensure partner alignment with MariaDB’s overall business objectives.

  • Travel within the APAC region to meet with partners, attend events, and build relationships as needed.

 

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Singaporean citizen or permanent resident.

  • 10+ years of experience in partner management or development, preferably within the SaaS, database, or open-source technology sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Deep understanding of the APAC market and partner ecosystem.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Fluent in English
  • Proven ability to create and execute strategic plans that drive partner success and revenue growth.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the APAC region.

 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a database company or in a similar technical domain.

  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and communities.

  • Knowledge of enterprise sales and marketing strategies.

  • Proficiency in multiple APAC languages.

  • Certification in partner management, sales, or a related field.
