The Navigation team is composed of proud builders of solutions to problems in the routing space for industries like auto, logistics, outdoors and more. We solve complex geospatial data problems and leverage statistical analysis for use cases ranging from turn-by-turn navigation to delivery route planning for fleets of thousands of trucks. Our services are often at the heart of the operations of our customers’ businesses. What You’ll Do

Mapbox is seeking a strong, execution-focused product manager for our Driver Application team through an amazing period of growth for our Navigation team. The Driver Application team is responsible for building fully featured navigation applications to be used as references for our customers and to be deployed inside our customer’s vehicles.

As the product manager for this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining the product roadmap and feature set for Android, iOS, and Embedded reference applications with a focus on automotive customers

  • Actively working with automotive companies on production navigation apps and proof-of-concept prototype applications

  • Identifying and investigating new areas of business and product opportunity for Mapbox to power in-vehicle experiences

  • Defining, building and launching new connected car solutions that leverage our Mapbox assets and encompass both mobile and in-car experiences.

  • Working collaborative across service organizations at Mapbox

  • Successfully planning and enabling the team to execute against planned goals

  • Establishing and defining operational excellence for all applications

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • 7 or more years of relevant product management experience with a track record of successful software product deliveries including both consumer and enterprise products

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with collaboration and influencing skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, including presentation, formal writing, verbal and email

  • You are passionate about customer experience, with a track record of delivering “Wow-experiences,” for customers

  • A thought leader who can clearly articulate vision and objectives and mobilize cross-functional teams to deliver against those objectives

  • Attention to detail and the ability & willingness to get your hands dirty

  • A passion for the automotive industry

  • Experience driving complex software development projects towards deadlines

  • Proficient at evaluating multiple perspectives and crisply articulating strong opinions based on principles and data.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and consensus building skills to create and work within a collaborative environment

  • Knowledge of navigation and/or logistics optimization concepts is appreciated
