Are you a strong HR generalist with a keen eye for aligning people operations with long-term business goals? Would you like to make a meaningful impact on our growing People function and become part of a leading global marketing agency? If so, you might be the People Partner we are looking for!
What will your day look like?
As a People Partner, your days will be dynamic and varied. You will collaborate with managers and employees across the organization, serving as a subject matter expert in key areas of People Operations and People Experience. You will bring expertise and knowledge of Danish employment legislation to ensure that cases are handled in a fair and consistent manner. You will work both hands-on with more routine-based tasks, but also at a strategic level, facing the business and being a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organization. You can expect to work with our benefits strategy across our global locations, ensuring alignment between benefits offerings. Over time, you’ll also expect to be our
go-to person in matters of relocation and mobility cases of new hires and existing staff. We will of course give you the training and support needed to make this happen. As we continue to build out the People function at VML MAP, you’ll have ample opportunities to innovate, challenge yourself, and develop your skills.
More specifically, your tasks include:
- Partnering with managers to provide strategic People support, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations and feedback. This includes supporting employee cases, talent retention, performance appraisals, improvement plans, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with various employment related legislations and policies.
- Working hands-on with people tasks and operations in a high-performance culture.
- Taking ownership of the relocation and mobility function.
- Drive our benefit efforts by improving and aligning our offerings across our locations.
- Taking on projects relating to the wider employee experience and culture we would like to foster within VML MAP.
Who are you going to work with?
You will join our People Operations team of four people all based in our headquarters in Copenhagen. You will enter a close-knit and sociable team that values commitment, good spirits and helpfulness in our workday. We prioritize sparring and knowledge sharing in the team, ensuring continuous professional growth and improved HR partnerships with the business. You will also become part of the wider People Experience capability within VML MAP, meaning you will collaborate with our Talent Acquisition team, Learning & Development team, as well as our People team in North America. We all partner with and service the entire organization across our 14 locations, so you’ll be collaborating with managers and colleagues across the global VML MAP organization.
What do you bring to the table?
As a People Partner supporting our global workforce, you are empathetic, culturally aware and have strong relationship-building skills that enable you to collaborate with colleagues across the business. You are proactive in addressing challenges and offering tailored guidance, while keeping the business needs and objectives in mind. You possess strong problem-solving skills, and your interest in deep diving into various HR topics enables you to find strong solutions to complex issues, making you a valuable advisor to stakeholders. An ability to prioritize and navigate between urgent issues and long-term projects will also be essential for this role.
In addition, you have:
- A degree in HR or related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a People function.
- Knowledge of Danish HR/legislation.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- A strong ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of various People principles, practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A strong sense of fairness, empathy and accountability.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Preferably experience with employee mobility and relocation cases.
- Excellent Danish language skills will be advantageous.
