Malka would be nowhere without our successful sales team. We’re seeking a qualified sales representative to help sell the content production studio services that our clients rely on today, and that is built for the future. This sales representative should have a strong understanding of the content and marketing services sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and an ability to showcase our creative and content offerings in a compelling way that is unique to our target customers. This individual must be both personable and professional, and will be tasked with giving capabilities presentations and attending networking events and trade shows.

About the role

  • Research client’s marketing and business needs in order to understand their marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Represent Malka’s products and services using comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the business needs of customers.
  • Generate leads and build relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and implement territory action plans using comprehensive research, and adjust sales techniques according to real customer interactions and results in the field.
  • Understand sales tactics and the ‘art of the pitch’ to identify and close new opportunities to support the revenue growth.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycles to close new business in all service categories.
  • Prepare concise and accurate proposals and other required documentation for executive-level presentations.
  • Lead, develop and motivate external clients and partners, as well as internal teams.
  • Navigate larger organizations to communicate new offerings and services.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, and outstanding presentation abilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4+ years of sales experience within a similar industry; such as a creative and/or media agency or production company.
  • Excellent track record of developing sales strategies, growing new business, and building impactful client relationships.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
  • Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred 
  • Goal oriented with a proven success rate at levels or above sales quota, preferred
  • This role is local to NYC and is hybrid between in-office in Jersey City headquarters and on-site visiting clients locally.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time to customer meetings and events.

The annual base salary for the Account Executive, Sales is expected a base between $85,000 to $110,000. Base salary is one component of Malka Media's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role. This position is also eligible for a performance based bonus.
