The Facilities Technician is responsible for execution of site maintenance activities in both a supervisory and hands on capacity. This position is also responsible for supporting Facility projects and maintaining records associated with Facility operations.
Supervise and execute maintenance of HVAC, boilers, compressed air, vacuum systems, DI water systems, waste water systems and other Facility assets associated with cleanroom operations.
Monitor Building Management system, noting trends and alarms that indicate that corrective actions could be required. Maintain written records of monitoring and response.
Inspect the facility daily to ensure all areas are kept in neat, orderly, clean and safe operating condition.
Initiate work order requests for building and installed equipment maintenance.
Able to interpret MEP blueprints and Cad drawings
React in a timely manner to emergency situations.
Position may require availability on nights or weekends.
Position may be responsible for supporting night or weekend shifts.
Demonstrates a safety conscious work ethic by looking out for the safety of self and others.
Requires strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and/or Magic Leap policies.
Other special projects as assigned
Possess HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other general R&M skills in order to complete smaller projects without outside contractor assistance
Strong initiative and customer service orientation.
Knowledgeable in Risk, Governance and Compliance
Sound knowledge of Health and Safety
Candidate must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. & maneuver an 8 ft. ladder.
Possess organizational, time management skills, leadership and problem solving abilities.
Bachelor's Degree or Certificate with at least 5 years relevant, full-time experience in facilities management in the field of healthcare, life sciences, or a related area is preferred.
