Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard and custom reliability test hardware, software, and lab maintenance to support the reliability program for Magic Leap product. Strong technical leadership, project management, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Develop and modify existing reliability test hardware and methods to support customer use cases and reliability requirements.
Develop and maintain test scripts to meet functional coverage and capture diagnostic information
Collaborate with reliability engineers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to develop and maintain diagnostic test fixtures and hardware
Collaborate with reliability engineers and data scientist to automate data capture and utilization
Support execution of reliability tests such as environmental, Shock/Drop/Vibration, mechanical life cycle and stress tests, electrical (battery, charger, etc..), packaging, and additional custom testing
Document test results and write reports
Manage and update maintenance and calibration program for reliability test equipment
Collaborate with reliability engineers and designers to develop and update custom test hardware and fixtures
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in high tech, aerospace or high reliability industry.
Hands on experience with Mechanical/Electrical Life Cycle, Shock/Drop/Vibration, and Environmental stress testing, Data Acquisition system, test scripting and automation.
Experienced developing custom test hardware and fixtures to support reliability testing.
Experienced working in collaborative environment with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Dynamic “can do” attitude engineer with the desire to work with a great team and product.
