Job Description

As a Senior Process Technician at Magic Leap, you will work collaboratively with others to improve eyepiece process yield, quality, performance and cost in the production environment. Our fab produces world class digital light field eyepieces that power up our mix reality product throughout the world. In this exciting and very dynamic team-based environment, you will work closely with Process, Optical, Metrology and Quality Engineers, as well as with production operators and technicians to identify and resolve tool/process issues and detractors.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Technician you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly and cooperatively with cross-functional team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure emphasis on quality and compliance
  • Assists engineers with root cause investigations and testing of defective material
  • Ability to complete appropriate paperwork, maintain accurate records of production and report status of work
  • Partnering with process/optical/quality engineers to improve process performance and yield (both excursion reduction and baseline improvement)
  • Improve productivity in assembly process (reduce cycle times with improved methods/tools)
  • Review production (labor) variances and implement corrective actions
  • Work with engineering to improve designs where necessary

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree with 3+ years experience of HVM manufacturing environment preferable
  • Cleanroom MFG/Fab knowledge and processing experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in statistics and data analysis (SPC, Control Chart, etc.) 
  • Yield Enhancement project experience desired
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
