Magic Leap is seeking a Senior Chemical Technician to work in Advanced Photonics group and will be responsible for chemical management, preparing and evaluating chemical formulations and assist materials scientists and engineers with development of optical products and processes.
Perform chemical mixing, filtration & degassing.
Conduct chemical experiments in a cleanroom environment.
Chemical analysis using various techniques such as FTIR, UV-VIS, GC, TMA, DMA, Rheometer and more.
Develop, document, and perform new test methods.
Maintain chemical inventory and consumables supply.
Assist Scientists and Engineers with R&D effort.
Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in chemical handling, chemical mixing and filtration.
Ability to work well under pressure and aggressive deadlines.
Proven ability to effectively work as a member of a team.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
Must be able to establish strong working relationships across the organization.
Must be data driven and capable of developing and executing engineering test plans and capturing a robust set of data.
Must articulate and be capable of producing reports and presentations that concisely address the matters assigned.
Minimum BS degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is required.
