Are you a seasoned developer who wants to build content, tools and learning materials to enable our ever-growing Magic Leap developer community?
As a Learning Resource Engineer at Magic Leap, you will be focusing on building learning materials and teaching folks from all backgrounds how to create compelling, performant experiences for Magic Leap. The ideal candidate has a broad background in development with an emphasis on teaching others and education.
Build Mixed Reality samples and toolkits, to provide developers with the right tools to create mixed reality experiences using Unity, Unreal and/or C++
Create, edit, and maintain the Learning Resources for Magic Leap. These contain but are not limited to: written documentation, best practices, SDK Doc, sample projects
Ensure engineering best practices across the team for samples, tutorials, and toolkits that will be built and shared to our developer community
Provide mentoring to more junior engineers on the team
Work with the internal engineering teams to improve the SDK Documentation, generate best practices, and improve the overall Magic Leap API
Work with the internal content teams to investigate and provide well-documented solutions for common challenges in development.
6+ years of proficient experience working on software products
Experience writing code using C#, and expansive knowledge of C# a must
Extensive experience with game engines and 3D technology (Unity, Unreal, other)
Experience writing c++ code in a production environment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate complex technical issues via email and in person.
Prior experience training developers
Experience with mobile software or web development is a plus
Great interpersonal skills; ability to influence and contribute meaningfully to cross-department initiatives
Equivalent work experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
