As a Data Virtualization Engineer for Magic Leap’s Lifestream teamyou will have responsibility for the development of our data virtualization application and processes in support of the implementation of our Lifestream business function and how it integrates within our product portfolio.
Work will all application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support a scalable, efficient, and stable virtualization infrastructure
Research, plan, design, and implement network technologies using industry best practices to ensure the virtualization infrastructure meets business and technical requirements
Assist in developing policies, procedures, and change management for virtualization operations
Provide training and knowledge transfer to other IT teams to ensured continued adoption and successful operation of virtualization technologies
Work with Project Management team to develop and implement complex projects
Five + years performing virtualization in cloud, hybrid and hosted environments
Five + years designing and implementing solutions
Writing policy and systems descriptions for how multiple environments work together
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to transform technical knowledge into business language
Understanding of Agile methodology
Understanding of ITIL framework
Knowledge of relevant development trends and technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, CI, etc.)
Strong understanding of IP Addressing and routing protocols
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering , Information Security or related field or four years of experience can be substituted for degree
