The People Analytics Senior Specialist is responsible for designing, executing and maintaining analytics tools that drive workforce decision-making and our overall people strategy. This individual will work directly with the Chief of Staff, People Operations to unleash the power of statistics, quantitative modeling and other analytical tools to improve how Magic Leap hires, on-boards, assesses, develops, retains and engages our global workforce.
Perform end-to-end quantitative analyses, such as workload allocation analytics, organizational network analysis and spans & layers analysis
Develop and maintain analytical tools to support each of the People Team’s components (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, People Engagement, etc.)
Generate and drive actionable insights from standard and custom reports through Magic Leap’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Build and maintain complex datasets to support recurring performance management and goal-setting activities, including dynamic tools to support executive decision-making around promotions and organizational structure
Partner with People Team leads to build and maintain solutions to track completion of mandatory trainings as well as utilization of Magic Leap benefits and other resources
4-6 years of work experience (less is acceptable with advanced degree)
Tableau and SQL proficiency (ability to navigate data warehouse, extract/structure data, design static / dynamic dashboards and execute visualizations)
Familiarity with data structure and reporting capabilities of HRIS and ATS (preferred)
Substantial experience with predictive analytics through parametric modeling and/or regression analysis
Familiarity with R and JMP (preferred)
Experience in the technology sector (prior work with technology startups preferred)
High degree of business acumen

Adept at triaging competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s Degree or PhD in Statistics or Business Analytics (strongly preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
