Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer, Opto-Mechanical

The Senior Opto-mechanical engineer is skilled in lenses mount design of compact imaging systems. Position is responsible for product development, design, measurement and assembly. Candidates must be highly innovative and enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment within a multi-disciplinary team.
Create and implement new manufacturing system concepts incorporating miniature optics into novel opto-electronic devices
Drive the development of test, metrology, and assembly for opto-mechanical components
Direct project activities for critical sub-assemblies and prototypes
Drive production ramp readiness with development, optics, and operation engineering teams
Drive cross-functional teams for root cause activity/problem solving for opto-mechanical components/devices
Maintain technology roadmaps to support next generation devices.
10+ years of industry experience in compact imaging system design is preferred
Experience with Solid works (preferred), FMEA, tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT)
Detailed knowledge of fabrication methods used in compact imaging systems including injection mold tooling, and direct machining methods for prototyping
Expert knowledge of precision machining, fast tool servo (FTS), high-speed milling and multi-axis diamond machining
Experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment
Experience with the production ramp of a high volume product in factories in the US and Globally
Must be confident in a highly dynamic and creative environment
BS in Mechanical or Optical Engineering
