We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's financial reporting requirements, GAAP position, as well as providing general support to the accounting team.

More about You:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Own and deliver the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting package
- Responsible for Consolidated Financial Statements
- Execute processes and procedures to comply with monthly financial statement close deadlines
- Compile monthly and quarterly variance analysis and explain significant variances in financial statement accounts, utilizing input from the respective account owners in the accounting department
- Assist with recording monthly journal entries, including preparation of related supporting schedules and account reconciliations, as needed
- Reconcile intercompany receivable and payable accounts, and ensure intercompany balances are properly eliminated on a consolidated basis
- Ability to research FASB and NAIC guidance and document accounting position
- Staying apprised of current GAAP and statutory accounting guidance and upcoming proposed guidance
- Assist in the documentation and process flows of accounting policies
- Assist with independent auditors to facilitate a successful audit and provide documentation requests, as necessary
- Prepare quarterly financial institution required debt covenant calculations and support
- Participate in special projects as needed, providing support to financial initiatives
Experience & Education:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Masters preferred
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 6-8 years of accounting experience, with 2+ years specializing in financial reporting
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with ERP type accounting software
Pay: Starting range with bonus: $85k-$110k. Plus up to $1k/month wellness stipend and other benefits.
