Mach149 is a SaaS startup within Mach49. We are building the SaaS platform that will make Venture Building and Venture Investing more efficient and effective – both for our clients’ New Venture teams and for Mach49 delivery teams. Our Global 1000 clients bring tremendous assets for New Venture creation including talent, cash, and customers, but often lack the process, tools, and guided expertise needed to successfully launch a portfolio of ventures and scale them to profitability. If you are a creative, intentional, and collaborative Senior UX Designer with a passion for excellent user-centered design, we want to talk to you. You’ll be joining our founding team to produce impeccable user experiences for a web-based platform that supports a growing global community of venture builders. 

The Role                                           

You will be responsible for working on the initial Mach149 platform, combining work from multiple disciplines: User Research, Visual Design, Usability, and Design Thinking.  You will have a significant impact on our business as you lead, define, and drive the interaction design for our venture builders’ product experience.  You must be a collaborator and strategic thinker, as you will work side-by-side with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other UX designers to bring intuitive user experiences to life.  



  • Designing and improving everything from end-to-end user flows to visual optimizations for specific features
  • Implementing both high-fidelity prototypes and low-fidelity wireframes
  • Working with engineers to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation
  • Working with external and internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize user needs
  • Conducting user testing and assimilating customer feedback
  • Planning and conducting user research and interviews



  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer
  • Deep understanding and experience designing SaaS enterprise applications
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineers, and other designers
  • Experience performing user research, user flow mapping, and presenting options to stakeholders
  • Keen eye for design improvements and visual detail
  • Ability to craft and communicate interaction and visual design frameworks and create a library of reusable design patterns that scale
  • A strong portfolio of work that showcases confident, diverse, and thoughtful typography, layout, visual design, and interaction design
  • Strong ability to present work, explain your rationale, and incorporate feedback
  • Proficiency in a software development workflow and tooling including Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch, Asana, and Adobe
  • Effective verbal, writing, strategic thinking, conceptualization, presentation, facilitation, and organization skills
