If you are a creative problem solver with an eye for clean, artful design, outstanding story-telling skills and an understanding for human-centered design, we want to talk to you. Mach49 seeks a Presentation/Storyteller Designer with an interest in UI/UX design.
The Role
- Collaborate with the delivery team to develop compelling presentation story lines that tell our clients’ start-up journeys, communicating boldly and clearly
- Produce clear, engaging, and beautiful presentations for our client teams’ interactions with their New Venture Boards and mothership executives
- Work with Delivery, Marketing, and Business Development to develop Mach49 aesthetic and presentation methodology for client presentations
- Establish and promote design guidelines, templates, style guides, pattern libraries and/or design specs for our delivery teams’ pitch decks
- As required, create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to effectively communicate design ideas
- As required, design Balsamiq prototypes that support customer research
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of work experience as a designer, graphic designer, or similar role
- Degree from an accredited university or college in Design and/or User Experience, or equivalent training/work experience
- Able to translate strategic concepts and ideas into compelling visual representations
- Exceptional storyteller with outstanding presentation design skills
- Keynote experience is advantageous
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Balsamiq, Invision, and PowerPoint/Google Slides
- Proven UI design experience

- Outstanding communicator, in both written and oral formats
- Exceptional people skills and the demonstrated ability to gain confidence, build rapport, and drive consensus with team members
- A curious mind and the ability to naturally make connections between diverse fields and industries
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a very fast-paced, multi-task, collaborative environment
- Highly detail-oriented
- A positive attitude, resilience, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to contribute to strong team dynamics
- Politically savvy when working with clients, skilled at knowing when to lead versus when to collaborate
- Willing to be flexible and work when the work is needed, sometimes at odd hours (there are lots of peaks and valleys during an incubation)
- Experience working within Global 1000 firms is a plus
- Previous start-up experience a plus
- Prior experience with remote working is a plus
