Job Description

Like all Financial Institutions, fraud is something that M1 encounters regularly and is a high priority for the organization. We are looking to hire an Operations Manager that can strategize and execute on the day-to-day and high-level goals for our fraud program. You’ll draw upon your industry experience and operator skills to build a world class fraud organization and identify gaps in our fraud protection plan for our banking and brokerage products.

We’re looking for someone who has deep operations experience, both in high level strategy and tactical, day-to-day oversight and execution. There are many opportunities for automation, process improvements, and defining metrics that will have a huge impact, not only on the fraud team, but M1, as a whole.  We’re looking for someone who understands the fraud challenge and how it will affect company, product, and user goals. You’ll work with our Fraud Analyst and Operations Team to integrate fraud process into the operations process, as a whole, and bring M1 into the next level of personal finance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy, oversight, execution, and analytics for M1’s fraud loss prevention
  • Work closely with leadership and the operations team and cross-functionally manage internal and outsourced workflows to hit defined targets
  • Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiencies with processes, tools, product offerings, and employee developments
  • Align broad company goals with department initiatives
  • Develop clear expectations and instill accountability for employees across all aspects of performance
  • Identify fraud opportunities and drive solutions start to finish
  • Analyze processes and continuously make improvements to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and revenue
  • Work with product teams to scale systems and suggest improvements

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial operations or logistics
  • Experience developing processes, meeting deadlines, and paying close attention to detail
  • Analytical, metrics and data-driven mindset
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-activity environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with leadership
  • Proven project management skills
  • SQL experience, a plus
  • Finance experience, a plus
