Reporting to the Senior Manager, People and Culture, the People and Culture Business Partner plays an essential role in developing, communicating and executing the company vision through our people programs and practices in retention, engagement, and development. As a Business Partner, you work closely with the manufacturing and distribution business leaders to improve, imagine and implement people programs that align our workforce with our business goals. You support the overarching unique staff journey, from ensuring best in class people programs such as strategic workforce planning, retention, total rewards and employee engagement.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People and Culture, the People and Culture Business Partner will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Support Room Managers in strategizing the approach to people matters. Ensuring consistency of performance management practice, documentation and legislative requirements
  • Ensure that HR practices are designed in connection with the Lush culture and encourage appropriate behaviours by all employees 
  • Execute talent development programs in your business area
  • Advise on people-related activities, hiring, promotion, transfer decisions, separations, terminations and leaves at various business meetings on team updates, program launches, training etc.
  • Work with client group to ensure that staff development plans and performance management processes are being effectively utilized
  • Support people leaders in staff assessments, 360 feedback assessments, salary / compensation conversations
  • In support of Room Managers actively identifies gaps, proposes changes necessary to make process improvements, and enhance the staff / management experience
  • Plan, develop and implement claims management program including facilitation and management of graduated return to work plans
  • Communicate with employees, and manager to manage claims, field questions and provide support through the process 
  • Support Room Managers with all non-work-related accommodation requirements
  • Participate, contribute and execute in various projects to ensure a best in class People and Culture Program

Who you are (Qualifications):


  • 5-7 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources with a Generalist/Business Partner role
  • Proven experience in HR as Generalist or Business Partner within Manufacturing, Distribution, or Retail with at least 5 years related experience
  • Proven ability in developing positive employee relations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building collaborative relationships, energizing and engaging others and effectively leading/communicating change
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop others and development of a 'trusted advisor' role with management
  • Professional in all interactions and respectful of confidentiality
  • High level of proficiency in computer applications, especially in Microsoft Office, database setup and management, and manufacturing ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamic preferred)


  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources or Business
  • Completion or expected completion of CHRP, CHRL or CHRE
  • Keen business acumen and well versed in manual batch manufacturing processes
  • HRIS experience (Oracle, People Soft, ADP Workforce Now (WFN))
