Technical Program Manager - Power Electronics
Job Summary:
Technical Program Managers at Lunar Energy will be responsible for leading complex engineering programs from initial concepts through to volume manufacturing. Requiring extremely close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and external partners, TPMs are instrumental at aligning diverse, global teams through a mix of leadership, engineering knowledge, and exceptional communications. On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely:
- Lead the planning, scheduling and execution of technical programs related to power electronics to ensure projects are completed to support our company milestones.
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies and ensure clear communication across stakeholders; including aspects of budget, resources usage, and team availability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and drive technical discussions to resolve technical challenges, design trade-offs to ensure robust design implementation and performance.
- Act as a central point of contact between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and product quality teams to ensure seamless communication across teams.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers as needed.
- Regularly report on program progress, key milestones and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance technical designs, and improve overall project efficiency.
- Conduct regular technical design reviews with engineering teams and identify and resolve key issues.
- Coordinate and support onsite prototype builds of early stage production builds at contract manufacturers while tracking and resolving issues.
Desired Skills
- BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of related experience program management of power electronics and/or PCBA design, development or system engineering.
- Proven Track record of successfully managing complex, multi-disciplinary technical programs.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- You are able to thrive in a startup environment and effectively collaborate across teams and levels within an organization.
- You are passionate about accelerating the adoption of renewables and improving our energy infrastructure, particularly through your ability to execute on ambitious program plans.

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $130k - $195k USD.
