The Role:
• Design and develop high voltage/high power electrical unit packaging, low voltage vehicle control boxes, functional and performance specifications using established best practice principles, e.g. OBC, DCDC. GWSW, Fuse boxes, ECU, etc.
• Coordinate with supply chain and hardware/software engineering teams to ensure a coherent design and correct and timely release.
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, and testing of components and the documentation of those activities.
• Lead failure analyses and experiments to propose design revisions and solutions.
• Resolve manufacturing plant, assembly plant, and field technical issues.
Required:
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or relevant)
• Familiar with the PCBA, casting, sheet metal, and injection molding part design
• Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably CATIA V6/3DX
• Experience with DFMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, TA, or other structured problem-solving methodologies
• Demonstrated understanding of design for relevant manufacturing processes
Preferred:
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based on a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
• Able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment
