Summary:

Looking for an experienced and analytical individual to join our team as the Project Planner and Budget Controller for Manufacturing Launch team, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and financial management of manufacturing projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective launch of new automotive manufacturing operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  2. Budget Management:
    • Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to provide accurate financial forecasts and variance analysis.
    • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  3. Manufacturing Operations Launch:
    • Work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Launch team to ensure seamless integration of project plans with overall launch strategies.
    • Coordinate with various departments, manufacturing engineering, production, quality, and logistics, to streamline launch activities.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress and address any issues proactively.
  4. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, ensuring everyone is informed of project milestones, challenges, and changes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project progression.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and potential risks.
  5. Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms to track project performance, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Generate regular reports for senior management, providing insights into project status, financial health, and potential risks.
    • Implement dashboards and visual representations of project data to facilitate easy comprehension and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in MFG Project Planning.
  • Proven experience in project planning and budget control within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management and financial tools.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is required (including evenings and weekends, as needed).

Willingness to be transferred from the launch team to the operations team post-launch.
