Summary:
Looking for an experienced and analytical individual to join our team as the Project Planner and Budget Controller for Manufacturing Launch team, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and financial management of manufacturing projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective launch of new automotive manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Budget Management:
- Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with finance teams to provide accurate financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Manufacturing Operations Launch:
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Launch team to ensure seamless integration of project plans with overall launch strategies.
- Coordinate with various departments, manufacturing engineering, production, quality, and logistics, to streamline launch activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress and address any issues proactively.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, ensuring everyone is informed of project milestones, challenges, and changes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project progression.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financial performance, and potential risks.
- Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms to track project performance, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Generate regular reports for senior management, providing insights into project status, financial health, and potential risks.
- Implement dashboards and visual representations of project data to facilitate easy comprehension and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in MFG Project Planning.
- Proven experience in project planning and budget control within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and financial tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operations.
- Flexibility in work schedule is required (including evenings and weekends, as needed).
Willingness to be transferred from the launch team to the operations team post-launch.
