The Role:
- Primary / initial support for EU-timezone (Germany, Poland, up-to and including KSA)
- Coordinate with team members at Newark HQ to communicate issues and collaborate on solution development and delivery.
- Works with engineering teams in the EU to understand functional requirements.
- Works with the Engineering Tools/PLM team in the US and IT to understand the out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities and limitations of the current toolsets including Design, CAD/PLM, Simulation (e.g., FEA, CFD, etc.), Digital Factory, math modeling, etc.
- Serves as the Level 1 contact for technical and licensing issues in EU – working to help solve application issues with the engineer, Lucid IT and software tool providers (including OEM and service provider).
- License management including the assessment of needs for different teams and troubleshooting of licensing issues.
- Management of engineering tools issues for EU in Lucid’s corporate helpdesk management tools
- Documentation of issue resolution and growing the corporate knowledge bank
Qualifications:
- Working Familiarity with tools preferred
- FEA/CFD (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS LS-DYNA etc.) and associated tools
- Math Modeling (e.g., Matlab/Simulink)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Automotive engineering experience preferred.
- Scripting / programming (VBScript, Python, C++ etc.) skills a plus
Skills:
- Strong experience in using and/or supporting CAD / PLM tools – CATIA experience required, strong preference for 3DExperience / CATIA V6
- Part design
- Surface Design
- Drafting
- Working knowledge of 3DExperience roles, access, licensing models, P&O security, and Change Management
- Strong communication skills (German and English – written and oral) for one-on-one support and presentation to groups (e.g., user forums)
- Ability to work both independently and with a broad spectrum of business partners (internal and external) and drive timely resolution.
