LoveToKnow Media is seeking a freelance commerce writer with a background in pets (dogs and cats in particular) to deliver an exceptional commerce content experience on our Pets channel. Commerce writers will research and create product best-ofs, round-ups, gift guides, and other content designed to provide value to readers, while also driving sales revenue. Top writers demonstrate an eagerness to continuously improve content creation, and understand the basics of commerce content performance.
Ideal candidates for our Commerce Writer, Pets role can demonstrate both expertise in the field of pets (through educational credentials and/or professional experience), and a well-rounded portfolio of on-topic published product-related web content covering a variety of styles and subject matter.

Researching and writing high-quality articles, including best-ofs, gift guides, and other commerce content
Collaborating with Commerce Editor to continually improve content and product selection processes.
Occasional outreach to subject matter experts.
Background (education/work experience and writing experience) in the field of pets, particularly dogs and cats.
2+ years of experience writing for print or online (commerce-specific a major plus)
Excellent writing and research skills.
Understanding of writing for the web audience.
Knowledge of and ability to apply Associated Press (AP) style.
General understanding of commerce editorial KPIs (conversion rate, etc.).
