Lead the execution of system-level software qualification and integration tests on real hardware simulating flight conditions. Provide feedback to engineering on issues and potential optimizations for vehicle preparation and test.
Oversee small team of vendors, providing escalation channels for issues they encounter
Coordinate with engineering teams on introduction of new hardware/software/firmware into flight simulation system. Design and implement fixturing, test equipment, etc to support the new systems.
Design, manage, and maintain the hardware configuration for subsystem level hardware-in-the-loop configurations.
Triage test failures at subsystem and full system level and work with engineering teams to fix issues.
Providing guidance and training to others for issue triage during manufacturing and assembly of production systems.
Assist with Launch Support program, ability to work with current vendors, role is done remotely, the candidate should be able to communicate instructions clearly and effectively
Main POC for all hardware test platforms issues
Manage firmware testing status from initial testing through qualification process
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, equivalent experience is acceptable
2+ years of experience in digital and analog circuit design/analysis, PCBA bringing-up, testing and troubleshooting
Strong experience in Python software development
Proficiency at executing test software on Linux-based systems
Basic understanding and experience with electronics, power supplies, test equipment, etc.
Experience with thermal and pressure chambers
Advanced knowledge of flight vehicle design and validation process
