Logos is a movement supporting the development of the decentralised web. Logos technologies lay the foundations for a freer internet upon which communities can evolve into network states. Each protocol in the Logos stack seeks to empower its users while upholding civil liberties and fundamental freedoms.

The role:

Logos is part of the IFT Family; a tech venture studio, focussed on building public goods to safeguard civil liberties in the digital age: https://free.technology/.

Logos is a fully decentralised, privacy-preserving, and politically neutral technology stack. The stack includes three modular, blockchain-based protocols: Nomos (consensus), Codex (storage), and Waku (messaging). Combined, they provide the technical foundation for cyber states, parallel societies, network states, or any borderless public institution based on voluntary consent

As Logos grows, there is increased focus on ensuring quality and consistency across the ecosystem. With projects at varying stages of maturity, there’s a need to ensure excellent communication and cross-team coordination as we move towards a model of self sustainability, in the long-term.

The Logos Program Owner will oversee the Logos projects (Codex, Waku, Nomos) and help with stewardship, guidance & cross team coordination. Acting as an advocate for the principles of decentralization, transparency, and inclusivity, while nurturing relationships and cultivating an organization committed to innovation and collaboration. Ultimately, the Logos Program Owner acts as a catalyst for positive change, empowering individuals and projects to deliver transformative decentralized technology for the betterment of society.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the teams, drive technical discussions and reviews.
  • Work with project leads as a facilitator to remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, whether they are technical, organizational, or interpersonal.
  • Take accountability over the milestone process, including scoping, delivery and communication to the IFT portfolio manager.
  • Help guide the team with new processes, with a focus on milestone delivery, minimal scope mindset and prioritisation.
  • Convey Logos’ strategy to team members and its impact on daily activities.
  • Identify, encourage, and help secure opportunities for cross-project integrations and functionality that are inline with the overall vision, both within and outside of Logos.
  • Express any risk or concern from the project teams to IFT leadership, ensuring that communication flows between Logos and the rest of the organization.
  • Participate in hiring activities and help secure top talent.
  • Encourage autonomy and empowerment within the teams, allowing individuals to take ownership of their work and make decisions collaboratively.
  • Foster open and transparent communication across the teams, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned on project goals and priorities.
  • Handle conflicts and disagreements within the teams constructively, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration.
  • Assist the IFT portfolio manager in ensuring that processes are followed, voicing any risks or blockers that may impede specific delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning from failures, and implementing best practices.
  • Embody the principles of servant leadership by prioritizing the needs of the teams, serving as a facilitator rather than a dictator, and empowering others to succeed.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and recognize achievements to motivate and retain top talent.

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field; or a background in Software Engineering.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment, preferably in Web3/Blockchain Technology.
  • Servant leadership style, excellent communication, and high EQ.
