What we need:

We need someone who wants to be in the thick of data while using python to create secure data pipelines. In case that isn't exciting enough this person will be working with machine learning engineers to build a new API system to enable the rest of the engineering group to work with the cool new AI systems we are building. 

What you'll do:

  • Create new ETL pipelines to migrate the data from application data sources to our data lake while keeping our customers' data safe
  • Helping to migrate older pipelines to the new shiney version of our orchestration system
  • Upgrading existing pipelines to become more real time for faster reporting
  • Help create clients and testing for new API system in FastAPI
  • Work on client creation and testing for helpful endpoints for the rest of engineering
  • Engage with Sr engineers on implementing new functionality for machine learning and AI systems as needed

What we're looking for:

  •  At least 3 years of software engineering (full time)
  • Strong familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle using Git
  • Experience with Python application development (beyond notebooks)
  • Experience with building/maintaining APIs
  • Familiarity with machine learning with an accompanying passion for the field
  • Strong understanding of databases including relational and document store including SQL familiarity (bonus for Postgres, Snowflake, Mysql and MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and pipelines to move data into  (tools like Airflow/Dagster/Prefect)
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (with and without ChatGPT assistance)
