Wage: $20.00/hr. (overtime when needed) Dayshift: 8a-4:30p Key responsibilities are as follows: 1. After receiving internal training, run equipment in the lab (e.g., surface tension, XRF, foam analysis, contact angle, flotation, etc.). 2. Assist in biosurfactant characterization and formulations. 3. In charge of ore sample preparation (e.g., weighting, crushing, splitting, etc.) before hydrometallurgical testing 4. In charge of organizing used samples post-testing 5. Receive, catalogue, and store all ore samples received from global customers 6. Ensure that all safety and operational requirements are met for each lab equipment 7. Assist with maintaining/repairing lab equipment (when necessary, organize 3rd party equipment/lab item repair) 8. Log and report results of all sample preparation steps and data to metallurgists and Director 9. Assist with plant trials when needed. 10. Sample shipping and receiving tracking 11. Assist with writing/revising standard operating procedures (SOPs) 12. Assist with safety inspections and audits 13. Oversee the collection of hazardous waste by 3rd party 14. Understands that safety and environmental responsibility are major components of our principles. Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to Lab Manager and R&D Director. Qualifications & Requirements: 1. High School degree. An associate two-year college program a plus. 2. 1+ years successful and progressive experience working in a laboratory a plus 3. Demonstrated experience in the mining and/or oil industry a plus
