The Senior Director, Content and Brand will report to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing. This person will define and execute the approach to making LiveRamp THE leader in the data collaboration category.  You will develop thought leadership through content development that drives a breakthrough narrative by leveraging experts within the company and influencers outside the company to tell our differentiated story. 

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience knowing which format to use for which content, and know how to balance relating our stories to current events and creating a long-term editorial plan. You are an outstanding writer and editor. Some pieces you will author yourself, and you will also edit the work of your team, executives, and thought leaders throughout the company. Because of this, being able to coach and elevate team members is a key to success for this role. You are a strategic thinker who understands business complexities and develops brand marketing plans to achieve business goals. This role also requires you to be a brand strategist and expert, which includes ensuring clear value propositions and a concise, easy-to understand brand narrative in all of our touchpoints from our website to our press.  You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the organization.

You will:

  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to both leverage content and thought leaders, while also building extremely strong relationships to infuse the company with a simplified-unified narrative and brand. Partner closely with the Communications team to help LiveRamp breakthrough via all channels including PR and executive communications. 
  • Design: Collaborate closely with our Creative Director, and continue to evolve LiveRamp’s company-wide design language. Provide creative direction for campaigns and ensure all design work is fully aligned with LiveRamp’s brand guidelines.
  • Brand strategy, design, and architecture: Create and evolve brand strategy, design, and architecture for LiveRamp in partnership with our Product Marketing team. 
  • Execution and investment plan: Create and develop an execution plan with content and brand initiatives to grow LiveRamp revenues by improving brand awareness and equity globally and positioning LiveRamp as a thought leader in the world of technology. 
  • Insights and measurement: Provide input to the development of customer, stakeholder, and market insights to inform brand-related decision making, develop measurement plans, and leverage insights and data to track and evaluate brand health and performance. Develop insights-based recommendations to deliver effective brand experiences.
  • Marketing strategy and planning: Provide input to the Marketing strategy definition and planning process, ensuring that priorities for the Content, Brand, and Design team are aligned with the broader objectives of the Marketing team.
  • Leadership and capability building: Lead, inspire, and grow a team of high-performing brand talent. Shape and evolve the capability strategy of the team, define and continuously improve the end-to-end process from brand strategy to brand experiences. Codify knowledge and processes in playbooks with support from Marketing Operations.
  • Employer Branding: Work with our People & Culture team on our Employer branding strategy.

 

Your team will: 

You and your team will be the champion and ambassador of LiveRamp’s brand and purpose, be the voice of the brand for internal and external teams. You will develop content and ensure a consistent brand experience across events, web properties, media and analyst relations, executive speaking opportunities, thought leadership, and social media, as well as employee– and community-relation. Your team will manage social media and work on cutting edge ways to breakthrough in our owned channels.  From a visual perspective, your team will not only deliver key content and how our brand shows up at events, but you will own how we extend our brand when needed.

 

About you: 

  • 15+ years of management and relevant work experience with a track record of building strong brands
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MBA preferred
  • Experience building and managing a global brand or a portfolio of global brands in a B2B and/or technology context is a big plus, as well as experience co-marketing with external partners
  • Exceptional content writer and editor
  • Compelling brand storyteller with a demonstrated ability to craft clear narratives and paint captivating visions
  • Deep design thinking and creative judgment with a high bar for design quality
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into action and to use data to develop and measure marketing programs
  • Exceptional leader and team player with proven ability to lead through influence and work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a diverse and matrixed global organization
  • Experience managing and negotiating with outside creative agencies and partners

The approximate annual base compensation range is $220,000 to $290,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
