Overview:

Join the Conversation Orchestration team at LivePerson as a hands-on Associate Software Engineering Manager! In this exciting role, you will work with internal and external AI platforms to improve and simplify brand-to-customer messaging experiences. You will be responsible for leading the development of AI-driven agent matching and routing solutions, modernizing legacy systems, and building new features from the ground up.

As a hands-on Associate Software Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our Conversation Orchestration team. Your expertise in software development and management will ensure the seamless delivery of AI-driven solutions that enhance the messaging experience for brands and customers alike. Responsibilities:

  • You will own the design and implementation of significant portions of the product development, and serve as a leader and mentor for a small team of engineers in their areas of work. A commitment to teamwork and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements.
  • You will be creating a reliable, scalable, and high-performance service requiring exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and deliver high-availability and performance
  • Ensure compliance with security standards
  • Design REST-based backend services
  • Debug production issues and help maintain existing code
  • Development of technical specifications and documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Work with Conversation AI team in building next-generation conversational platform

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
  • Strong programming skills preferably in Java/Node.js with good knowledge of multi-threading.
  • Expert-level knowledge of distributed databases (SQL, NoSQL) like Cassandra, Couchbase 
  • Experience with Data Processing frameworks like Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, Hadoop
  • Experience building REST APIs and debugging distributed microservice-based applications
  • Experience in Kubernetes
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs
  • Experience in Python is a plus

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 9+ years of experience building successful production software systems
