We design. We build. We code. We think. We craft. We engineer. We teach. We learn. We invent.

At littleBits, we’re on a mission to democratize hardware by empowering everyone to create inventions, large and small, with our platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks. And we believe this mission starts with you. When you join the team, you’ll enter a workspace that encourages innovation, creative expression, teamwork and transparency. We also encourage spontaneous sing-a-longs, furry friends, roaming robots, and lots of laughs. If you are genuinely excited about our mission, and about working with a smart, dedicated and talented group of inventors, artists and doers, we want you on our team!

We’re looking for an Email Marketing Manager who will join our new, data-driven growth team. Working closely with our business intelligence, engineering, marketing, and sales teams, this role will be pivotal in not only re-booting our email and retention strategies across business lines, but in driving meaningful revenue and top priority projects with executive visibility (it’s more than just sending emails!). This role is perfect for a driven, analytical, conversion-minded email marketer who can take a proven program to the next level.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS OUR EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER

  • With great joy, you will look into the heart of our current email program, see the incredible upside and email-centric worlds to build and delight in being able to make a huge immediate impact
  • You will create, nurture, and grow our program not only for our consumer line but also for our super-engaged educators
  • Our current ESP should be your begrudging companion, but we will look to you for insights on how to improve or maybe even completely re-start our program with a different technology
  • Welcome series, drips, cadences, upsells, abandon carts are your bread-and-butter, and you’ve got some next gen ideas about how to improve what’s working and how to add what is yet to exist
  • As you read this job description, you’re already wondering what the product AOV is, what our customer LTV currently is, and what our email discounting strategy truly is
  • You are a friend to Excel, co-existing peacefully with the spreadsheets in your dropbox, and you would never think about doing anything without first getting all the raw data and tossing it into a pivot table just to play around with it first
  • You’re self-guided, goal-oriented problem solver, and know what it takes to kickstart a huge account in-the-making

THE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED TO BE OUR EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER

  • 3-5 years working as an email marketing specialist or responsible for email in a direct-response environment
  • A track record of success building and optimizing a portfolio of email programs with various ESPs
  • Familiarity with the tools needed to grow and analyze email programs, and knowledge of where to get info on deliverability, how to warm IPs, and testing into frequency per user
  • Ability to find ROI and ROAS amid large data sets
  • Experience running A/B and MVT within email programs
  • A love of Excel is required
  • A focus on analysis but an eye for what’s important for the business and presentation

THE PERKS YOU’LL ENJOY AS AN EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER

  • Being part of an awesome team that keeps playful inventing at the heart of all we do
  • Sweeping views of the Hudson, a tricked-out office and fully stocked kitchen.  We're listed as one of the top 11 office spaces in the US:  http://notable.ca/design-love-11-of-the-best-office-spaces-in-the-united-states/
  • All the oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, microscopes, microchips, soldering irons, laser cutters, 3D printers, craft supplies and googly eyes you could ever want
  • Benefits including medical, dental, vision, commuter checks, FSA, paid family leave and 401(K) with an abbreviated waiting period
  • Stock options that go along with a high-growth, well-funded startup
  • Flexible working hours and unlimited sick days
  • Generous vacation policy

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

Because we do business with the government, we must reach out to, hire, and provide equal opportunity to qualified people with disabilities1. To help us measure how well we are doing, we are asking you to tell us if you have a disability or if you ever had a disability. If you are applying for a job, any answer you give will be kept private and will not be used against you in any way.

If you already work for us, your answer will not be used against you in any way. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we are required to ask all of our employees to update their information every five years. You may voluntarily self-identify as having a disability on this form without fear of any punishment because you did not identify as having a disability earlier.

How do I know if I have a disability?
