Reporting to the Director of Channel Sales, the CHANNEL ACCOUNT MANAGER - EDUCATION, will join the channel sales team to grow the business and relationship with littleBits’ value added reseller partners – a key role in the expansion of littleBits in the education marketplace.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS CHANNEL ACCOUNT MANAGER:

  • Provide day-to-day support of our existing resellers via onsite visits, email, phone, end user presentations, and trade shows
  • Learn everything there is to know about selling and marketing littleBits kits, collections, and modules in order to teach our resellers what you know
  • Manage major accounts and partner relationships
  • Identify growth and expansion opportunities in new and existing relationships
  • Recruit new sales leads via cold calls, emails, trade shows, and other events
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive systems, pricing and practices
  • Develop marketing initiatives to support the growth of the accounts under management

THE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU NEED AS CHANNEL ACCOUNT MANAGER:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, client support, marketing or partner development
  • An understanding of the K-12 education buying cycle and strategies for successful partner relationships
  • Experience selling EdTech, curriculum and/or professional development through IT, publishing or curriculum resellers preferred
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines
  • Strong ability to manage relationships and be happy in a performance driven position
  • Be comfortable with cold calling to identify new resellers
  • Creative mind with ability to initiate, maintain and grow new business relationships
  • Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, CRM program proficiency
  • Be based (or willing to relocate to) NYC Metro area
  • Eager and willing to travel
