Position Overview: As a Staff Kubernetes Developer at Litmus Automation, you will assume a leadership role in architecting, designing, and managing complex containerized applications, microservices, and operators using Kubernetes, Golang and related technologies. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members while contributing to the development of our cloud-native ecosystem.

What You Will Do:

  • Containerization Mastery: Oversee the development and optimization of Docker container images for various applications.
  • Microservices Expertise: Drive the adoption of microservices architecture within Kubernetes environments and provide architectural guidance.
  • Kubernetes Operators in Golang: Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators in Golang for automating application management and orchestration.
  • Development Tools: Utilize tools to build Kubernetes operators such as:
    • Operator SDK
    • Kubebuilder
    • kubernetes/client-go
  • Scaling and Optimization: Implement advanced scaling strategies and load balancing for maximum performance and resource efficiency.
  • Security Governance: Set and enforce security policies and practices for containers, Kubernetes, RBAC, and secrets management.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior Kubernetes developers, fostering skill development and growth within the team.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Kubernetes configurations, deployment processes, and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshooting Mastery: Serve as an escalation point for complex containerization, Kubernetes, and microservices-related issues.

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience (7+ years) as a Kubernetes Developer or similar role with proven leadership capabilities
  • In-depth expertise in Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker)
  • Strong Golang development skills with prior experience (4+ years) in developing Kubernetes operators
  • Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Helm, Rancher)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and server-less computing is advantageous
  • Profound understanding of microservices architecture and application design principles
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
