Lithos Energy designs and builds advanced lithium-ion battery packs from the ground up for use in high-performance automotive, marine and aerospace applications. We build the things we design and manufacture in-house, in California. Responsibilities

Design, build and deliver functional battery prototypes. Independently take designs from space claim / basic requirements and all the way to functional sample.

Support internal teams' prototyping needs, as well as developing prototypes independently.

Serve as a technical liaison with external customers, helping them to realize their vision.

Come up with creative and practical design solutions.

Build and lead an elite team that can execute new designs quickly and competently.
Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. Eng and 10+ years relevant work experience.

5+ years experience leading complex multi-disciplinary design projects.

Proficient with CAD, DFM, machine shop equipment.

Direct experience designing battery products for vehicle applications.

Strong understanding of underlying technologies, physics, and practical limitations.

Demonstrated effectiveness leading prototyping activities in a fast-paced, small team environment. Able to operate independently and execute new / unique designs quickly. Track record of meeting design challenges with practical solutions.

Broad knowledge of battery system design factors - electrical safety, configuration, pack architecture, component selection, etc.

Strong technical communication skills and documentation practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with battery system design for multiple industries.

Experience with automotive or heavy equipment design and validation for those environments.
Salary Range - 200-240K + Equity / DOE
