Lithos Energy designs and builds advanced lithium-ion battery packs from the ground up for use in high-performance automotive, marine and aerospace applications. We build the things we design and manufacture in-house, in California. Responsibilities
- Board-level electronics design: component selection, circuit calculations, schematic capture, mechanical integration, PCB floor planning and layout. Altium CAD toolchain. Emphasis on design for test and design for manufacture.
- Verification of board-level designs: firmware integration, performance testing, EMC testing, thermal testing.
- Cable harness interconnect design.
- Mentoring of less senior engineer and technician staff.
- Development of electronic hardware and systems for testing of board-level assemblies and integrated products in a factory environment.
- Development of electronic hardware and systems for software and system regression testing.
- Provide technical guidance to the supply chain team regarding component qualification and substitution.
- Manage engineering electronics lab test equipment and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5- 10+ years of board-level electronic design experience.
- Strong grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals in analog, digital, and microcontroller domains.
- Proficiency with command-line microprocessor user interfaces.
- High proficiency with various types of Test & Measurement equipment.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work on-site five days per week.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, small team environment.
- Highly effective communication skills.
Assets
- High voltage DC design experience.
- Battery Management System design experience.
- Basic programming skills (Python or similar).
- Altium Designer toolchain experience.
- High-density PCB layout experience.
Salary Range
$135– 165k + Equity. Dependent on experience.
