Position Summary

The UX Copywriter is responsible for crafting copy that brings behavioral science to life across Lirio’s suite of Precision Nudging solutions and supporting collateral. Working closely with our team of behavioral designers, content designers, researchers, product professionals, and visual designers, the UX Copywriter will write message components to be sent by email, SMS, mobile apps, chatbots, and other modalities. The UX Copywriter will also assist with copy for landing pages, client-facing and internal documentation, consulting reports, call center scripts, and marketing collateral. The UX copywriter is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all content and will own the team’s internal quality assurance process.  

This position can be located remotely in the United States or at one of Lirio’s offices in Franklin and Knoxville, TN.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Content creation (50%): 

  • Write and proofread behavioral science-informed copy for email, SMS, and push messages, chatbots, landing pages, client-facing and internal documentation, consulting reports, call center scripts, and marketing collateral 
  • Refine content based on input from client, behavioral design, and research teams 
  • Conduct thorough reviews and edits of all copy to ensure adherence to health literacy best practices and Lirio’s behavioral design requirements. 
  • Develop and adhere to a strict quality assurance process, including proofreading, editing, tagging, and organizing content, prior to intervention launch 

Content management (40%): 

  • Work with Lirio’s content management system (CMS) to store, organize, tag, update, and refine content 
  • Maintain CMS technical quality standards and guidelines 
  • Collaborate with Lirio’s technical teams to inform improvements to the CMS 

Other duties: 

  • Document content guidelines, standards, and processes to facilitate consistent and scalable content creation 
  • Maintain an issue log and inform improvements to the CMS, content development, and QA processes 
  • Regular and reliable attendance. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience writing for diverse audiences (e.g. cross-cultural experience)
  • Experience in marketing, content design, journalism, or communications 
  • Some work experience in healthcare, digital health, behavioral science, or a related field is nice to have
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and tools such as Figma, Sketch, Mural, or Miro is a plus but not required
  • Background in behavioral or health sciences is a plus but not required
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills are a must, including comfort with writing for both professional and consumer audiences
  • Must have ability to collaborate cross-functionally, especially with technical teams
