As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement as our next Head of Software Engineering.

Overview
As the Head of Software Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding multiple software development teams across two key regions, Singapore and India Chennai. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will ensure the development of high-quality, cutting-edge software solutions that power our robotic cleaning technology and lead the Full Stack Team handling LionsBot Cloud Ecosystem by overseeing the DevOps, Security, Software Quality, and Data Analytics departments. Your leadership will shape the future of our technology and contribute to our mission of transforming the cleaning industry.

Essential Functions

• Inspire and lead a diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
• Departmental Oversight:
• Manage the front-end team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex full-stack software applications using modern technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Oversee the back-end team, which leads the design and development of high-performance back-end systems using Spring Boot, Java, Golang, and AWS Services, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
• Lead the DevOps team in automating and streamlining development and deployment processes.
• Ensure the security and compliance of our cloud services while managing them effectively and efficiently in line with industry standards such as ISO27001, SOC2, PDPA, GDPR & OWASP
• Oversee the QA team to establish and maintain quality standards, processes, and testing methodologies.
• Lead the data analytics team, utilising data insights to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Work closely with Robotics Autonomy team, User Experience team and Product leads to deliver top-notch software products, from user interfaces to core infrastructure
• Coordinate software development activities between our Singapore and India Chennai offices, fostering teamwork and shared goals.
• Develop and implement software engineering strategies aligned with LionsBot's mission and vision.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.
• A minimum of 12 years of working experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years in a professional managerial role leading a team of software engineers with a track record of successfully leading and growing teams.
• Proven skills/experience in conflict resolution and team development.
• Deep technical expertise in software development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong experience in quality assurance, cloud security, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated success with creating and scaling cloud services, including experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure, and deployment.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.
• A track record of transforming a start-up company into a scalable, high-growth company with quantifiable achievements.
• Proven professional experience as a remote team manager, guiding and collaborating with cross-regional software development teams.
• Experience integrating with robotics/IOT applications and Big Data Pub/Sub architecture.
