This is a crucial individual contributor role reporting directly to our Supply Chain Manager.

 

Essential Functions

  • Product line planning to optimize line loading and generate part purchase requirements
  • Evaluate, source, and onboard new vendors based on competitiveness factors such as cost, quality, on-time delivery, and service levels.
  • Regularly review the vendor pool to ensure that vendors remain relevant to meet the company's expectations and requirements.
  • Reinforce supply chain efficiency through specialized commodity teams by providing expertise in selecting, growing, and optimizing the approved vendor pool.
  • Conduct price analysis and negotiate lead times with the vendor pool to ensure and improve price competitiveness, lead time, and on-time delivery.
  • Build up vendor relationships that will lead to adherence to schedules, budgets, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Ensure all procurement activities follow the company's purchasing guidelines and maintain proper documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to contractually agreed specifications and standards, including accreditation / class bodies.
  • Liaise with the engineering department to refine and optimize requirements and ECN activities.
  • Product line planning to optimize line loading and generate part purchase requirements.
  • Optimization of product line inventory and ensure demand is met through placement of scheduled purchases.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electronics), Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.

 

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional sourcing/procurement experience in the mechanical and/or electronics industries.
  • Professional experience with supplier audits and supplier relationship management.
  • Professional experience dealing with East Asia based suppliers.
  • Fluent in multiple languages.
  • High level of integrity and impartiality with vendor selection and management.
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, and ability to multitask.
  • Start-up mentality with the ability to learn fast and jump in.
