The Role

As the Lead Revenue Manager at Life House, you will lead a team of Revenue Managers, while also setting rate and revenue strategies to maximize rooms revenue for a portfolio of hotels (from trendy motels to luxury resorts). You will be responsible for creating, executing, and reporting on the financial performance of your assigned portfolio. You will leverage data to understand demand/supply forces impacting our properties and to inform a revenue strategy. On the day-to-day, you will collaborate with our Asset Management, Business Intelligence, and Sales & Marketing teams to execute ROI-focused strategies and maximize room revenue. You will also create scalable processes and manage the workflow and prioritization for the Revenue Management team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and train a team to work cohesively on maximizing revenue performance
  • Create scalable processes and manage the workflow of a Revenue Manager Team
  • Own the creation and execution of rate and revenue strategies across markets, property types, and customer segments
  • Analyze trends and demand forecasts to set/adjust revenue strategies designed to increase market share, grow RevPAR, and optimize market mix
  • Analyze and monitor pickup daily to manage day-to-day inventory and rate yielding, and implement strategies on all distribution channels
  • Monitor and analyze competition, local events, and market activities to inform pricing and inventory decisions
  • Lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and sales and marketing plan processes
  • Ensure rate parity and presence of strategies across all OTA sites, property websites, GDS, and other rate display areas
  • Oversee process for evaluating all opportunities for contracted business (group, wholesale, corporate negotiated, etc.) presented through the Sales department
  • Effectively communicate revenue forecast and strategies to all stakeholders; work closely with other departments to maximize revenues
  • Lead in stakeholder management, including weekly revenue strategy and ownership meetings
  • Manage the analytics workstream related to all revenue manager properties
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required

Who We Are Looking For

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Hotel Management or related field
  • At least 4+ years of professional experience in hotel revenue management
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team
  • Excellent with Excel/Google Sheets
  • Extremely strong written & oral communication skills
  • Intellectually curious & a highly motivated self-starter
  • Strong logical & analytical reasoning abilities
  • Strong strategic thinking skills; demonstrated ability to create and implement strategies to maximize performance
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities through strong time management
