We develop, design, and operate boutique lifestyle hotels with a mission to make travel more meaningful and reliable for travelers, and to make hotels more seamless and more profitable for owners. We recently raised our Series C and we are looking for talented software developers to join our in-house technology team. Role

At Life House, a Director of Project Delivery Work with a fully vertically integrated development and design team, who are building beautiful and groundbreaking projects nationally, to manage projects from pre-development phase through to completion and turnover to operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with VP Project Delivery during pre-development phase to understand fee structure determinations, budget requirements, and high level schedule/target date for opening.
  • The Director, Project Delivery will be tasked with managing 1-4 projects, depending on size of projects, as well as PMs and APMs (depending on size of project).
  • Engage in project kick off meetings with design, construction, architect/engineer, and owner to familiarize everyone with the project.
  • Engage in weekly internal touch bases, as well as external full project meetings, to review ongoing project duties/tasks/challenges and present solutions
  • Visit sites at predetermined milestones to review progress.
  • Review weekly onsite reporting from contractors and issue weekly reporting to ownership groups and internal teams at Life House
  • Near project closeout, visit the site to run a punch list process and ensure all parties are satisfied with work the team has produced.
  • Team up with Development Finance Associate to ensure accounts receivable is kept up to date with ongoing work and milestones.
  • Focus on finding efficiencies and re-engineering in the things we do to decrease time and increase client satisfaction.

Requirements 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years professional experience in development/construction project management

Preferred:

  • Experience in on-site construction management.
  • Previous experience with General Contracting.
