Life House is a venture-backed, vertically integrated hotel brand, operator and technology company. We develop, design, and operate boutique lifestyle hotels with a mission to make travel more meaningful and reliable for travelers, and to make hotels more seamless and more profitable for owners. The Role

As a sales development representative (SDR) at Life House, you will focus on executing our outbound sales strategy to grow our portfolio of managed hotels. You will be the first touch point with prospective hotel management customers, and will be responsible for upper funnel initiatives to start building their trust in our robust processes & tech-enabled management platform. You'll spend a lot of time making phone calls, sending emails and engaging with prospective clients. Lead generation is your primary responsibility, and you’ll be supported by our knowledgeable business development, sales strategy & operations, and operational teams who will focus on closing deals. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with prospective clients, provide access to a service previously unavailable to small independent hotels, and share insights and case studies in order to build trust. In short, this is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in our growth story as we scale across the United States and internationally.


What You’ll Do

  • Reach out to existing hotel owners who may be interested in transitioning property management, acting as the first point of contact and identifying new independent & branded hotel opportunities
  • Leverage our sales CRM software to track emails, phone calls, meetings, etc. with prospective customers (i.e., hotel owners) and move prospects through the top of the sales funnel
  • Anticipate hotel owner needs and match it with our value proposition, highlighting different elements of our suite of products and services based on the identified customer profile
  • Manage initial prospect follow-ups, including sharing sales decks, videos, demos, etc. and determining when to redirect customers to individual experts on the sales team
  • Attend corporate trainings, product demos, etc. to ensure a deep understanding of our products and services, including what differentiates Life House vs. competitors
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to maximize lead generation and support conversion 


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of sales development experience, with a history of exceeding sales targets
  • Prior experience with enterprise sales in the hospitality or real estate industry
  • A basic understanding of hotel operations, while acknowledging that the industry standard today is suboptimal & that we can add value by doing things differently
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a knack for storytelling
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly (including efficiently ramping-up on our products & services)
  • Highly organized and autonomous, with effective time management skills
  • Proficiency with Pipedrive, SalesForce or another CRM software (preferred)
  • Willing to travel as needed, although we’re big believers in efficiency and video conferencing
