The Role

We’re looking for a Vice President - Head of Acquisitions to lead the Acquisitions team as we grow from 50 hotels today to 150+ by year-end 2022. In this role, you will oversee a team focused on i) building relationships with existing real estate investors, and ii) sourcing new hotel acquisitions opportunities. The VP of Acquisitions will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining high-profile capital relationships and will oversee a broader team of regional Acquisitions Directors. In this leadership role, the VP will help Directors close deals and source “PropCo” partners, taking ultimate accountability for team performance. Lastly, the VP of Acquisitions will be responsible for setting the broader Acquisitions team strategy and ensuring that we are maximizing our reach with capital partners in major markets across the United States. 


What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Acquisitions team, overseeing the end-to-end sales funnel for hotel acquisitions and helping us grow our national portfolio of independent & branded Life House hotels
  • Build & maintain high-profile capital relationships with real estate investors and other capital partners interested in acquiring independent hotels across the chain scale
  • Identify new hotel acquisition opportunities and pitch capital partners on attractive opportunities
  • Set the hotel acquisitions strategy & identify key focus areas for the Acquisitions team, including opportunities to enter new markets and/or focus on scaling with specific capital partners
  • Assemble new programmatic PropCo relationships to accelerate cadence of deal execution across key strategies 
  • Work closely with the Managing Director of Sales and a team of regional Acquisitions Directors to optimize the process for closing deals and rapidly grow the Life House portfolio


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of hospitality and/or real estate investing experience (spanning real estate ownership, management, brokerage, and/or advisory services)
  • A proven track-record of closing large deals and experience working with capital partners
  • A strong existing understanding of hotel operations, while acknowledging that the industry standard today is suboptimal & that we can add value by doing things differently
  • Strong existing relationships and connections within the hospitality / real estate industry
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment 
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, including an in-depth understanding of real estate investor jargon (critical for effective communication with our capital partners)
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience coaching & motivating junior teams
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly (including efficiently ramping-up on our products & services)
