About the Job
This is a 6 month contract that can potentially lead to a permanent role. The Senior Accountant will be reporting to the Controller and will be a critical part of the month-end close process and daily accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will also work cross-functionally supporting other departments like financial reporting, revenue, and FP&A and asked to contribute to other accounting ad-hoc projects.
The salary range for this position is $112,500 to $159,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and own balance sheet reconciliations (ie. deferred revenue/cogs, inventories, fixed assets, receivable royalties and import tax accounts.)
- Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables (i.e. journal entries, allocations, adjustments and reporting) including summarize and prepare financials status and transactions (ie, P&L statement) and other necessary reports.
- Work closely with the Revenue Manager, FP&A and Sales team on subscription and contra revenues for B2B and B2C flow.
- Reconciliation cost accounting from manufacture with Ops team.
- Monitor and prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax filing.
- Proactively identify issues, implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes including follow up on action items related to internal client service and collaborate to ensure accurate and timely services and reporting to clients.
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility

What We’re Looking For
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 application for hardware/software type of companies
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Sales and Use Tax reporting and analysis
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
