Role Overview

 

As the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), you will play a critical role in driving Liberis' growth strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies to acquire and manage key partnerships. This executive position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the fintech and payments landscape, as well as a proven track record in forging and nurturing global partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Partnership Development
    • Identify, evaluate, and secure new strategic partnerships with small business champions, such as marketplaces, ISVs, financial institutions, payment processors, and other relevant entities.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners to enhance collaboration and drive growth.
    • Build a framework for analysing development opportunities, enabling go to market strategies.

 

  • Market Expansion
    • Lead the partnership effort to enter new markets and expand Liberis' global footprint.
    • Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for business development and expansion.

 

  • Revenue Growth
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
    • Monitor performance metrics and ensure that business development activities contribute to financial goals.

 

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute comprehensive, short and long term, business development strategies that align with Liberis' overall growth objectives.
    • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to company-wide strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.

 

  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a primary liaison between Liberis and its partners, ensuring alignment on goals and objectives.
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote Liberis' vision and values.

 

  • Operational Excellence
    • Implement best practices and processes to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the business development function.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

 

 

Who are you?

 

You are a driven, hands-on leader who thrives on challenges and eager to roll up your sleeves— you are hungry for success and possess the grit to tackle tasks head-on, not just supervise from afar.

 

 

  • Experience
    • Ideally 10+ years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Proven track record in a scaling B2B partnership business across global territories.  
    • Experience in the fintech industry, particularly in payments and financial services would be beneficial but not essential
    • Extensive experience in developing and managing global partnerships.
