We are an award-winning Legal, Compliance and Info Sec Team who are fully embedded within the business. We are led by ‘General Counsel of the year’ and we love being on the cutting edge of innovation in our industry. Innovative use of legal technology and process optimisation is critical to be able to meet the pace of growth: we embrace use of business-self serve tools allow the business to meet. 

 

 

What’s the role? 

 

As the Legal Operations Lead you will be: 

  • Shaping and leading on legal operations, suggesting enhancements to processes and technology to optimise the way the team works; 
  • Lead on implementation of AI tools to bring efficiencies and enable the business to self-serve on legal workstreams.  
  • In charge of maintaining our co sec and committee calendar tracker, and organising associated reports; 
  • Responsible for maintaining (and improving accessibility of) business facing legal resources; 
  • Responsible for our document repository and contract management systems; 
  • Proactively maintain and raise the profile of the Legal team by developing and taking forward team initiatives/objectives and business friendly operational processes. 
  • Assist with preparation of information packs and slide decks to present information regarding the legal team to the business and investors.   
  • Responsible for tracking legal team goals.  
  • Oversee the relationship with the department’s outside counsel law firms and other vendors, and assist with related billing/invoicing and payment processes. Provide a streamlined and efficient budget management process.
  • Leverage data through metrics and dashboards to provide insights to leadership on various legal value, workload and costs.
  • Working on fast paced projects and together with the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Head of Legal to manage tight deadlines.

We think you’ll need 

 

  • Proven experience (we expect this to be roughly 2+ years) in a legal operations (or similar) role.  
  • Experience with implementing AI tools for operational efficiencies.  
  • Experience with using tools to track and manage budgets. 
  • Experience with ‘help desk’ ticketing systems (e.g. Freshservice/ Zendesk). 
  • Experience building and maintaining intranet portals and pages.
  • Experience managing business operations functions including systems, data analytics, budgeting, or vendor oversight.
  • Demonstrated leading large projects, managing multiple large vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to proactively identify needs and issues and provide solutions.
