What to Expect
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year + production
Location: 2703 Hempstead Tpke, Levittown, NY 11756
Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time, flexible options available
Hours of operation:
- Monday through Thursday: 8am-8pm
- Friday: 8am -6pm
- Saturday: 9am-3pm
- Sunday: closed currently with plans to reopen

As one of the first veterinary surgeons on Long Island, Dr. Kaplan cared for patients referred from all over the region. He opened hospital doors to visiting veterinarians looking to learn the advanced surgical techniques employed at Levittown Animal Hospital, including the specialists that would go on to found Long Island Veterinary Specialists.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an individual (or individuals) to join our practice as an Associate Veterinarian, on either a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate is someone who strives to provide the best possible care for patients and wants an opportunity to learn and drive the growth of our hospital.
We are currently a 2 Doctor practice looking to build our team. Our hospital encourages teamwork, continuing education, team consultation, and the highest quality care. We make it a priority to ensure our whole team has a positive work-life balance tailored to their individual needs. Our dedicated, long tenured and well-trained support staff play a critical role in helping to make the client, patient and doctor experience the best it possibly can be.
Candidates with a strong interest in surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine and general practice are encouraged to apply. We are also open to candidates with other special interests, such as holistic medicine.
Requirements:
- New York State Veterinary Board License - must be in good standing, prior to start date
- Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some weekends and holidays (as necessary, per hospital)
- DVM or VMD level degree required
