Role Purpose

Deploying enough carbon-free energy to meet our global emissions targets requires trillions of dollars of investment, and a faster pace of project development. We are looking for someone who is early in their career, with a passion for sustainability and a desire to use their talents to support clean energy development.  In this role, you’ll support the marketing team’s efforts by conducting audience research, developing email lists, reaching out to target contacts, holding exploratory calls with customers, and responding to inbound inquiries. Once opportunities are qualified, you’ll introduce potential customers to members of our customer engagement team. 

The position is based in our Seattle office, with the option to work from home up to 2 days a week. We are only considering candidates in the Seattle area. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Generate demand through outbound prospecting:

  • Drive demand and strong participation in our Platform through cold calling, emails, and social communication with current and potential customers
  • Run targeted outbound email nurture campaigns
  • Follow up with new contacts generated from marketing campaigns to assess potential sales opportunities
  • Conduct screening calls; introduce qualified leads to members of the sales team

Qualify inbound opportunities:

  • Respond to inbound inquiries; conduct screening calls as needed, and direct contacts to the appropriate person at LevelTen
  • Onboard new users to our Platform

Support sales and marketing efforts:

  • Research prospective accounts and contacts to identify new leads
  • Create and maintain CRM account, contact, and opportunity information in Salesforce
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support sales and marketing initiatives

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales, or customer success 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Active listening capabilities, to understand and address our customers’ needs
  • Resourcefulness; ability to find new or more effective ways to identify our target customers
  • Ability to quickly learn complex topics and understand the needs of the business to work independently
  • Able to strongly articulate a product’s value proposition/selling points and explain complex issues simply and clearly via phone and email
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal groups
  • Prior experience with CRM software, familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
  • Prior experience with Marketing Automation software is a plus
  • Knowledge or strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, project development, or energy markets is highly preferred, but not required

Additional Details

  • The estimated compensation for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
